Impressed with the packaging alone as it is compostable. Can't speak to the quality of the plant yet as it was a bare root. There was a bit of a delay with the order, but I was updated on this.

The man.David Austin spent the whole of his sixty year working life creating entirely new varieties of roses.Apparently it takes hundreds of thousands of seeds to create three to six new plants after eight to nine years of trials. Mr Austin created one hundred and ninety.Amazing.The product.Yes their roses are more expensive,but there are a quality product that will give you a lifetimes ?,enjoyment. I am a first time gardener and I bought my first D/A.rose over thirty years ago and its still blooming In praise of Ballerina,a truly great rose.Small white flower with crinkled pink edging.Powdery yellow centre stamen.Literally hundreds of flowers on the one plant.Repeat flowering.Mine,started flowering in June. As I write,it is January the fourth.There is still around a 20 flowers on the plant!.Its so good it deserves SIX stars.

Excellent service my bare root rose was damaged in transit so I sent photos of it and received a replacement and apology straight away. Very happy!

I have bought several roses from DA this year, all beautiful healthy plants. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Excellent customer service too - highly recommend!

I must say I’ve ordered roses from David Austin before and the roses are very nice, so I thought I would buy 2 more delivery was as expected and I was excited to open the boxes but my excitement turned to sadness as the roses were covered in green fly and black spot and Mildew, and if I was to keep the roses I would have to cut them back to the root, this really isn’t what I expected from this company. So I call customer services they said I shouldn’t receive them in that condition but could I send photos and then they would sort it out for me. Well it’s been 2 days since I received these roses and I’ve still not heard from them. So I called again apparently they are too busy to sort my problem and I have to wait, so I have asked for a refund and then to collect the diseased roses so far still waiting for someone to call me back!!! Customer service is very bad!!! Will not be ordering from this company again!!!

Customer service is second to none. Can't speak more highly of the company. The roses are beautiful and delivery swift using protective packaging. Wouldn't buy a rose from anywhere else. If you're thinking of getting one, ask for their amazing brochure which is packed with helpful information to help you choose the right one for you.

This was my first experience with David Austin and will not be the last. Having been very disappointed in most of the other mail order plant companies I have dealt with, David Austin has restored my faith. Communications were good, delivery prompt and the plants excellent. Highly recommended.

The David Austin website was really easy to navigate and full of excellent guidance on which rose to choose. I ordered a Gertrude Jekyll shrub rose and a pack of Mycorrhizal fungi, both arrived in only a few days, superbly packed. The rose is beautiful, it has an abundance of buds and looks so healthy. The planting and care guide received in the box is helpful too.

I was a little apprehensive about ordering a plant online as 1) i have never done it before and really like to see what I am getting and 2) it was a golden wedding gift for a very, very keen gardener. However. It has arrived today and they are absolutely thrilled with the quality. She informs me It is extremely healthy with large yellow roses and glossy leaves and no signs of disease whatsoever. The packaging in her words was 'second to none'. I am so pleased that they are delighted with their gift. Also credit goes to the DPD driver Mark, who was really polite and more importantly adhered to the Social distancing rules. Thank you David Austin.

It was my third order from David Austin and it went completely pear-shaped. Ordered Rose Judi Dench. waited for 2 weeks. Rose Darcey Bussell arrived instead (nice rose, but not suitable since does not tolerate shade). Contacted Customer Service. Waited for another 2 weeks. Finally, Rose Judi Dench arrived. 4 biggest canes with buds were damaged either during the packaging or transportation. Do not like to throw away plants. Pruned the broken canes. Now left with 4 small canes only. Hopefully the rose is going to survive this year and will recover next Spring. Will be buying my next rose as a bare root in November. I do not advice buying potted roses during summer since high chances that the plant will arrive damaged.
